Aim Your Life, Not Just Your Schedule: Leading on Mission Under Real Pressure

There's a kind of pressure that never shows up in a report. It shows up in your body. You feel it in the tight jaw before a call, in the shallow breathing when the inbox keeps refilling, in the way your mind keeps running even when the room is quiet. It's the pull between what demands attention right now and what deserves your deepest loyalty.

Acts 20:24 doesn't pretend pressure disappears for a faithful person. It gives you a center that pressure can't rename. “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Paul isn't rejecting life. He's refusing to make his life the point. He's choosing Jesus and the mission of God as the organizing reality.

Modern leadership pressure does something sneaky. It trains you to confuse motion with direction. You can fill every hour and still lose the plot. You can keep people satisfied, keep projects moving, keep money coming in, and still feel like you're living from the edge instead of from the center.
