From Crisis to Calling
I'm George B. Thomas, and I know what it's like to feel the crushing weight of leadership.
A few years ago, I was running my business, Sidekick Strategies, and from the outside, everything looked great. Clients were happy. Revenue was growing. The team was expanding. But on the inside? I was drowning.
I remember those 11:47 PM moments, staring at my laptop, unable to sleep, wondering if I was doing any of this right. The pressure of payroll. The loneliness of decisions that only I could make. The nagging fear that I was failing at business, family, and faith all at the same time.
“I had built a business, but I was losing my soul in the process.”
The leadership books weren't helping. The podcasts felt hollow. Everyone talked about hustle and grind, but nobody addressed the spiritual emptiness that was eating me alive. I needed something different.
So I started writing. Every morning, I'd open my Bible and ask God: “What do I need to know to lead well today?” Then I'd write what He showed me. Not polished sermons. Not theological treatises. Just honest, practical wisdom for the battles I was facing.
Those daily writings became my anchor. They reminded me that I wasn't the savior of my business. I was a steward. That God was with me in the conference room just as much as the sanctuary. That there was a way to lead that didn't require sacrificing my health, my family, or my faith.
But I didn't stop there. I took those devotions and worked with my AI assistant to slice and dice the insights, turning them into articles I could read and apply personally. These articles were coming out so good, so practical and powerful, that I realized others needed them too.
So I created a vehicle to share them, tweaking each piece and adding my own stories and experiences before publishing. Over time, those private writings became hundreds of articles. Those morning reflections became podcasts. That personal journey became the foundation for Spiritual Side of Leadership.
“This has always been a human-powered, AI-assisted journey. The devotions, the heart, the mission? That's all human. The AI just helps me scale the impact.”
Today, I've combined those years of wisdom with AI technology to create something I wish I'd had during my darkest moments: a 24/7 leadership companion that integrates faith with practical guidance. A private journal to process the weight you carry. Decision tools that consider both the bottom line and your eternal calling.
You don't have to lead alone. You don't have to choose between success and soul. There is a better way, and I built this platform to help you find it.
