What is the Daily Presence Check?
It's a 2-minute guided exercise to help you notice your inner world and acknowledge God's presence before the demands of the day take over. It's designed to help you lead from peace rather than anxiety.
How It Works
- Open the Daily Presence Check from your dashboard or tools
- Take a breath and pause from whatever you were doing
- Rate how you're feeling physically, emotionally, and spiritually
- Note what's on your mind—concerns, gratitude, or anticipation
- Set your intention for the day
- Acknowledge God's presence with a brief prayer
When to Do It
Most leaders find morning works best—before email, before meetings, before the demands begin. But any consistent time is better than a "perfect" time you never protect.
The Power of Small Habits
Two minutes doesn't sound like much. But consistency compounds. Leaders who do this daily report:
- Greater awareness of their emotional state throughout the day
- Better response (instead of reaction) to stressful situations
- Increased sense of God's presence in their work
- More intentional leadership decisions
Tips for Building the Habit
- Anchor it to an existing habit (after morning coffee, before checking email)
- Set a reminder on your phone for the first few weeks
- Don't skip it even if you only have 60 seconds—abbreviated is better than skipped
- Track your streak—consistency builds momentum
