How to Use the Soul Journal

A private space to reflect, process, and capture what God is teaching you through your leadership journey.

Why Keep a Soul Journal?

Leadership can be lonely. The Soul Journal is your private space to process what you're experiencing, capture insights, and reflect on your growth. It's where you can be completely honest about your struggles and celebrations.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to Tools > Soul Journal
  2. Click "New Entry" to create a journal entry
  3. Write freely—there's no wrong way to journal
  4. Tag your mood to track emotional patterns over time
  5. Add tags for activities or themes (optional)

What to Write About

If you're not sure where to start, try these prompts:

  • What challenged me today and how did I respond?
  • What is God teaching me right now?
  • What am I grateful for in my leadership?
  • Where am I struggling and need help?
  • What decision am I wrestling with?
  • What did I learn from a recent win or failure?

Using Mood Tracking

Each entry lets you tag your mood. Over time, this creates a picture of your emotional patterns. You might notice:

  • Certain days of the week tend to be harder
  • Specific activities correlate with better moods
  • Your emotional state affects your leadership effectiveness

Insights Feature

The Insights tab shows you patterns in your journaling—themes that come up repeatedly, mood trends over time, and more. This is where reflection becomes growth.

Privacy

Your journal is completely private. Only you can see your entries. Write honestly.
